Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

Introduction from the board

We have a zero-tolerance policy to any form of slavery, servitude, forced labour or human trafficking, whether within our own business or our supply chain, in the UK and overseas. We are working hard to ensure these crimes and violations of fundamental human rights do not exist in either our business activities or our supply chains. This statement has been approved by the Board of Directors who fully support the Company’s ongoing and future commitments to tackle modern slavery.

About our business and assessment of risk

Established in 2012 and based in Bishop Auckland, we are a retail business selling floor coverings and associated products online and in stores.

We rely on a global supply chain for the products which we retail. Within this exists the greatest risk with respect to modern slavery.

Due diligence, policies and contractual controls

This Modern Slavery Statement strictly prohibits the use of forced labour, child labour and human trafficking within our business and supply chain.

We reserve our right to terminate relationships with any supplier in the event of non-compliance with this policy.

We are in the process of implementing a plan to audit international suppliers using an accredited 3rd party. This work will expand and continue.

All our staff should understand the importance of slavery and trafficking, and how they, and the business, must be part of the solution. We are in the process of familiarising all employees and suppliers with this Modern Slavery Statement.

Assessment of effectiveness in preventing modern slavery

We review and evaluate the effectiveness of these measures. If any measures are not deemed to be effective in addressing the risk of slavery in our supply chains or in any part of our own business; we will make any changes to those measures and to this statement as may be required from time to time.
